The Quiet Roots of October
The season shifts without a sound,
A gentle grace upon the ground.
We do not ask the trees to rush,
Nor question how the morning hush
Can heal the noise of yesterday.
We simply learn to step away—
To let the quiet roots grow deep,
To trust the promises we keep,
And watch how time, in silent grace,
Restores the heart in its own space.
For every leaf that learns to fall,
A quiet strength answers the call.
Not every bloom must show its face,
To prove it holds a sacred place;
Some beauty rests beneath the soil,
Far from the reach of daily toil.
And in the space where stillness grows,
The heart finds rest, the spirit knows
That stepping back is not a loss,
But bridging where the waters cross—
A golden pause, a breath drawn slow,
To clear the path where grace will flow.
