Radiant Bloom: Notes from the Rocky Wall & The Power of Perseverance

Radiant Bloom: Notes from the Rocky Wall

A smiling Black woman (image_2.png) with a natural braided updo, wearing a stylish forest green blazer and trousers with a cream blouse, working on a laptop while seated on a rustic stone bench outdoors. She is positioned against an ivy-covered stone wall surrounded by lush ferns, foliage, and wildflowers, embodying a successful writer's "radiant bloom" and perseverance.

There are moments in life when a project, a calling, or a quiet pull of the heart strikes you in a corner—with your back pressed firm against a rocky wall. You stand there without a map. You don’t know how, when, or if the seeds you are holding will ever unfold, or if they will ever mount up to anything at all.

You just start anyway.

Looking back to where this path began during the quiet, uncertain days of COVID-19, it started with small, faithful steps. A mild writer's commute into relationship quotes. Simple home cardio routines. Daily rituals of skin, hair, and facial care. A YouTube channel built from scratch. I poured my whole skin, my daily life, and my soul into my blog posts—laying everything on the line, even reaching moments where the weight felt so heavy that I gave up.

Or at least, I thought I did.

What I didn't realize then was that resting isn't the same as quitting. The seeds planted in secret were still taking root beneath the surface.

Stepping into 2026 and seeing these words carried on striking weaves—waking up to see 944 views on a single blog in a day—brings tears to my eyes. They are sweet tears. Sacred tears. The kind that come when your heart finally pauses long enough to realize just how far you’ve traveled from that quiet corner.

I still feel that fire inside me. I still know I deserve more growth, more reach, and deeper connections. But as I look at where I stand today, I know one thing above all else: I am not giving up. I am not turning my back on the comments, the shares, and the quiet likes from the real human souls who pause here to read. Every single one is a quiet witness to the journey.

To anyone standing against their own rocky wall today, wondering if your late nights, your quiet efforts, or your small beginnings matter:

Perseverance is real.

It isn’t about never feeling tired or never wanting to lay down the pen. It is about resting when the weight is heavy, and waking up to offer your heart to the world again anyway. What you build in faith, even when no one is watching, has a way of blooming right when you need the light most.

Keep writing. Keep creating. Keep stepping forward into your own radiant bloom.
