At the Mercy Table
21 – 09 – 26
I am here, Lord—at Your service.
I pull up a seat at Your mercy table and lay myself down at Your feet.
I stop asking, "When, Lord?"
and start saying, "I am here, Lord. Use me."
I stop pleading, and I start saying,
"Let Your patience overwhelm me. Empower me. Comfort me."
I stop crying out in fear to make room for Your peace,
knowing Your shield protects me and Your staff comforts me.
I stop carrying the weight of saying my heart is heavy,
and I start saying,
"Lord, I lay my burdens at Your altar. Strengthen me. Go before me. Prepare me."
Do Your will, Lord, and let Your will be done.
