🌩️ When the Storm Clears
![]() |
| A sanctuary reflection on love, loss, and letting go. When the storm clears, we find the strength to survive and bloom once more. |
Yesterday came and gone,
and so was your love.
A river flows straight alongside
the banks and walls it forms.
The roads shall be straight one moment
and crooked the next—
there is no straight path to love.
You build a home of comfort,
only to see it fall in one unforgettable moment.
Life holds its share of fear, pain, and stumbling blocks,
but they must be crossed either way—
whether we choose to survive,
or move past the hurdle.
The Storm & Nature Storyline
Then the storm comes rolling in—
wreaking havoc, clearing everything in its path.
Suddenly, there is no water.
No electricity. No food.
Only the sound of heartbeats rushing to seek shelter.
The tide pulls back, exposing the bare shore,
yet it never forgets how to return.
Trees shed what no longer feeds them,
standing unclothed in the quiet storm,
trusting the soil beneath the dark.
They say, "Make hay while the sun shines"—
an old truth we forget until the dark sets in.
Yet even the fiercest gale grows weary.
Even the heaviest clouds must part.
For every storm, no matter how wild,
has no choice but to make way
for the sun to shine again.
