Poem on Loneliness: I am Feeling Left Out, The Echo in the Crowd

The Silent Ache: A Poem of Feeling Left Out

A lone figure with their back to the viewer stands in a softly blurred, warm-toned space suggesting a gathering or busy environment.
I stand within this vibrant hum, a silent echo in the room.
A hollow ache, a rising fear, of being seen, yet cast aside.

The Echo in the Crowd

The laughter drifts, a distant chime,

a melody I can't quite hold.

My hands, outstretched, grasp only time,

a story that remains untold.

I stand within this vibrant hum,

a silent echo in the room.

The circle closes, swift and numb,

enveloping me in lonely gloom.

My voice, a whisper, finds no ear,

lost in the current, strong and wide.

A hollow ache, a rising fear,

of being seen, yet cast aside.

Longing to Belong, Unheard

The sun still shines, the world still spins,

but something vital dims inside.

A little corner where joy begins,

is where my spirit seeks to hide.

For here, within this busy space,

I carry skies of grey and blue.

A longing etched upon my face,

to be included, to belong to you.
